Industry: Trading Position: Senior Associate, Corporate Development Job Type: Full Time Location: New York, NY Salary: $75~$120K Visa Sponsor: No Language: Japanese lunguage skills a plus Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Developing corporate investment strategies for senior management and assisting in their execution Analyzing mergers and acquisition opportunities ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Assisting with the development of new investment strategies for senior management. Strategies are to be developed through analysis of existing assets, feedback from in-house industry leaders, and general industry trends. Strategies will be further developed through the generation of target long lists and finally by contacting appropriate targets to initiate dialogues For ongoing investments candidate will be responsible for analyzing the opportunity, facilitating an effective due diligence and integration approach for a particular industry group. Document and communicate status, issues and risks in a timely manner to stake holders including legal and risk management teams. Drive day-to-day execution of the integration process, including coaching cross-functional teams. Document learned sessions from M&A processes and integration execution. Drive the execution of best practices incorporating key learning Oversee the development of detailed integration plans and milestones after acquisition. Assist with the incorporation of parent company’s management policies and procedures. Work with management of acquired companies to execute growth plans. Review financial reports of acquired companies MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: · BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, MBA a plus PREFERRED SKILLS: · Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business partners and vendors · Must be a decision-maker and willing to negotiate to develop win-win situations · Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization · Ability to facilitate issues and resolve conflict as appropriate · Excellent Writing & Communication Skills MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS: · 5-7 yrs M&A advisory work-related experiences a plus · Strong accounting background (Big 4 accounting experiences a plus) · In-depth financial modeling experiences (esp. valuation models, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills) · Excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving skills · Data analysis and database skills · Japanese language skills a plus
