Position: IT Specialist

Description:
This position is responsible for investigating and resolving computer software 
and hardware problems for users, and managing overall operations of the IT department, 
including the installation and or expansion of various systems, the programming 
and determining of required software and hardware in conjunction with end-users, 
and the maintenance of telecommunications systems. 

Detailed Tasks: 
1) Helpdesk/ Support for logistics operation 
- PC, server, printer 
- Give quick response to any technical & process related questions on our logistics system. 

2) Project Management 
- Implementation support for new logistics system. 
- Planning training program, prepare for EDI. 
- Analyze customer and user requirements etc. 

3) Consulting 
- Support redesigning of logistics operation, sales and customs brokerage workflow with IT solution. 


Job Requirements: 
Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems and environment. 
Experience in Server 2003/2008 R2 
Experience with Active Directory 
Installation and configuration of computer hardware and operating systems. 
Installation of configuration of software applications. 
Network topology and environment. 
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills. 
Requires ability to express technically intensive concepts to lay users (verbally and/or in writing) effectively in one-on-one as well as group settings. 
Must have a service-oriented mind-set with the ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while transferring knowledge and expertise to empower clients and users. 
Familiarity with Tape backup (IBM LTO Ultrium). 
Language skills: English/ Another languages would be a plus (especially Japanese). 

Like to have 
Professional experience in the logistics industry (Freight Forwarder, NVOCC). 
Project management of IT solutions. 
Experience of Cargowise system 
Experience of AS400 
Symantec Endpoint Administration 
Windows Server Update Services
